Online casino rules in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan has one legal online gambling site, PlayNow.com, open to players aged 19 and older. This page sets out the rules behind that, what self-exclusion reaches, and how the paid links on this guide's home page work.

What the rules say
PlayNow.com is the only legal online gambling site in Saskatchewan. It is operated by SIGA, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, a First Nations non-profit. It launched in the province in November 2022. Players must be 19 or older, which is the legal gambling age across Saskatchewan.
No licence exists for private online casinos in Saskatchewan. The provincial government calls the sites competing with PlayNow illegal platforms. If you live in Yorkton, Melville or Canora, the same provincial rules apply to you as anywhere else.
Two bodies share the oversight. Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, a Crown corporation known as LGS, oversees lotteries and gaming in the province. The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, or SLGA, regulates.
Self-exclusion and online play
Game Break is the program of Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw. It is a voluntary self-exclusion from all casinos in Saskatchewan and from PlayNow.com, for 6 months to 5 years. Once in effect, it cannot be shortened or removed.
SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion is requested at any SIGA casino or by appointment at SIGA's Central Office in Saskatoon. The person picks a term from 6 months to 5 years and is banned from all nine casinos in the province. Neither program reaches a private online casino site.
How this guide earns money
This guide earns money from paid links, and only the home page carries them. Each one is marked Ad. They lead to a private online casino partner that is not named here and can change.
That partner holds no Saskatchewan licence. In Saskatchewan, the only legal online gambling site is PlayNow.com. SIGA self-exclusion and Game Break do not reach the partner's site.
Links to Painted Hand Casino, SIGA, the province and help services are never paid. If gambling is causing problems for you or someone in your family, the Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline is at 1-800-306-6789. It is free, confidential and open 24 hours, answered by trained counsellors.
